What Does the Focus Score Show?

Your Focus score reflects your ability to maintain attention and stay alert over an extended period. It’s based on a 3-minute Psychomotor Vigilance Test (PVT) — the gold standard in cognitive testing, especially for evaluating fatigue and sustained attention.

During the test, you’ll respond to a series of white light flashes by opening your hand as quickly as possible. The goal is to maintain focus and react consistently throughout the entire duration.

What the Score Reflects

Your Focus score is influenced by:

  • Fast, consistent reaction times to the light stimulus

  • The number of errors, including:

    • Delayed responses (slower than your usual baseline)

    • Missed responses (failing to react at all)

As fatigue or distractions increase, errors typically go up — making Focus a reliable indicator of cognitive impairment from lack of sleep, stress, or other factors.
