Measure Your Focus

Pison wearables measure your Focus using a Psychomotor Vigilance Test (PVT) — a widely used method to assess sustained attention and reaction time. The test lasts about 3 minutes and involves only white light flashes from the LED indicator at the top of your wearable.

Every time you see a white light, quickly open your hand in response. This continues throughout the entire test duration.

How to Start the Test

You can start the Focus test in two ways: from the Pison app or directly on your wearable.

Option 1: Start from Your Wearable

1. While the clock display is active, use the toggle button to scroll to the Cognitive Test menu.

2. Press the select button to enter the menu.

3. Use the toggle button to find Focus, then press select to begin the test.

4. You’ll see a 5-second countdown on your wearable display before the test starts.

Option 2: Start from the Pison App

1. Open the Pison app.

2. Go to the Home tab.

3. Tap the Cognitive Test button (the blue button in the middle of the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen).

4. You’ll see a 5-second countdown on your wearable display before the test starts.

Tips for a Successful Test

• Quiet Environment: Find a space free of distractions for accurate results.

• Correct Device Placement: Make sure your wearable is secure and positioned correctly. (See: How do I position and wear my device?)

• Proper Hand Gesture:

  • Rest your hand in a loose fist with your arm positioned so you can see the LED light.

  • When the white light flashes, quickly open your hand.

  • Repeat this gesture every time the light flashes during the 3-minute test.

Viewing Your Results

• After the test, your score will appear on your wearable.

• For more detailed insights, check the results in the Pison app.

Deleting a Test Result

If you didn’t complete the test or got distracted:

• You can delete the result before tapping “Save and Continue.”

• Once saved, the result can’t be deleted.
