How to Run On-Field Drills the BASEBALL Pro App
The coach will have to set up the Pison BASEBALL Pro App to run on-field drills with the team. As the coach you should follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the App
- Download the Pison BASEBALL Pro app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Sign in with your email and password.
- Once logged in, your teams will be visible for training sessions.
Step 2: Assign Devices to Athletes
- Go to the Team tab in the app.
- Ask athletes to enter Pro mode by pressing the Select, Toggle, and Select buttons in sequence. The display should show “PRO” in the top left corner of the wearable display when successful.
- On the athlete’s name card, select Assign Device.
- A list of available devices will appear under Devices found. Each device is identified by its identifier code, which is the last four digits of the serial number. To find the code, press the Select button once from the clock display to access the device information screen.
- Match the correct device to each athlete based on the identifier code.
Note: For first-time assignments, make sure all athletes’ devices are within range of the coach’s phone running the BASEBALL Pro app (ideally within 15 feet). This step only needs to be done once for each athlete.
Step 3: Create a Training Session
- Go to the “Baseballl” tab
- Create a session by labeling it and selecting athletes.
Step 4: Select a Drill
- Choose a drill category and specific drill.
- Assign athletes to positions. You can assign multiple athletes to one position and swap them during the drill.
Step 5: Ensure Proper Device Placement
- Device placement is crucial and varies by drill, as the device detects motion from baseball-specific movements like catching, throwing, or hitting. Refer to the table below to ensure athletes wear the device on the correct hand for each drill.
